ร้ายนิดหน่อย คือโปรเจกต์ศิลปินชายลูกทุ่งร่วมสมัยภายใต้ BorMeeJai Studio ที่หยิบเรื่องความรัก ชีวิตประจำวัน บ้านเกิด คนรอบตัว และความเป็นอีสานมาเล่าด้วยน้ำเสียงตรง ๆ สนุก และมีความกวนอยู่พอประมาณ

โปรเจกต์นี้ไม่ได้มี Story Universe แบบ BORMEEJAI

ตัวละครในเพลงหนึ่งไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นคนเดียวกับอีกเพลง

เพลงหนึ่งอาจพูดถึงคนรักเก่า
อีกเพลงอาจพากลับบ้านริมแม่น้ำมูล
อีกเพลงอาจพูดถึงการจากบ้านไปทำงาน
และอีกเพลงอาจเป็นเพียงเรื่องเล็ก ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นในชีวิตธรรมดา

About “RAI NID NOI”

RAI NID NOI is a contemporary male Luk Thung project under BorMeeJai Studio, built around love, everyday life, hometown memories, people, change and Isan life told with a direct, playful and down-to-earth voice.

The project does not have a connected Story Universe like BORMEEJAI.

The man in one song does not need to be the same person in another.

One song may be about an ex.

Another may return home to the Mun River.

Another may look at leaving home for work.

And another may simply turn a small everyday situation into a song.

What connects the project is not a timeline.

It is:

the voice of an ordinary man who takes life seriously enough to feel it, but not so seriously that he can never laugh at himself.

He can be hurt.
He can miss someone.
He can be disappointed.
He can feel lonely.

But every emotion does not need to become a tragedy.

Sometimes a relationship ends.

Sometimes something hurts.

And sometimes, if there is still something funny about the situation, he can laugh at that too.

That is the space where RAI NID NOI lives.

ที่มาของชื่อ “ร้ายนิดหน่อย”

“ร้ายนิดหน่อย” เกิดขึ้นหลังจาก BorMeeJai Studio มีกฎการตั้งชื่อศิลปินแล้ว

กฎนั้นเกิดขึ้นจาก “ไม่รู้” และถูกนำมาใช้กับโปรเจกต์ที่เกิดตามมา

หลักง่าย ๆ คือ

เพลงเกิดก่อน ชื่อวงเกิดทีหลัง

เราไม่แต่งเพลงขึ้นมาเพื่อหา Keyword สวย ๆ มาเคลมเป็นชื่อศิลปิน

และไม่ตั้งชื่อวงให้ดูดีไว้ก่อน แล้วค่อยเขียนเพลงเพื่อพยายามทำให้เข้ากับชื่อนั้น

สำหรับโปรเจกต์นี้ เพลงที่มาก่อนคือ

“ข่าวดี...ร้ายหน่อยหนึ่ง”

เพลงเล่าเรื่องผู้ชายที่ได้ข่าวดีว่าคนที่เขาคิดถึงกลับมา

แต่ข่าวร้ายคือ

เธอกลับมาพร้อมกับคนอื่น

น้ำเสียงของเพลงไม่ได้เศร้าจนหมดแรง

มันเจ็บจริง
แต่ก็ยังมองสถานการณ์ด้วยความกวนและหัวเราะกับความซวยของตัวเองได้

คำและอารมณ์จากเพลงแรกนั้นจึงกลายมาเป็นชื่อโปรเจกต์

ร้ายนิดหน่อย

ชื่ออาจฟังเหมือนคนมีนิสัยร้ายนิด ๆ

แต่ในอีกมุมหนึ่งก็เหมือนบอกว่า

ชีวิตมีข่าวร้ายบ้าง
ความรักร้ายกับเราบ้าง
เรื่องต่าง ๆ อาจผิดจากที่หวังบ้าง

แต่ก็...

ร้ายแค่นิดหน่อย

ยังอยู่ต่อได้

ยังร้องเพลงได้

และยังพอมีมุกเหลืออยู่

How the Name “RAI NID NOI” Came to Be

RAI NID NOI was created after BorMeeJai Studio had already established its artist-naming rule.

That rule began with MAI ROO and was carried forward to later projects.

The principle is simple:

the song comes first, the artist name comes later.

We do not write a song simply to claim a polished word as an artist name.

And we do not invent the artist brand first and then try to force the songs to fit it.

For this project, the song that came first was:

“ข่าวดี...ร้ายหน่อยหนึ่ง”

Its story begins with good news.

Someone he once cared about has come back.

The bad news is:

she came back with someone else.

The song is genuinely bittersweet, but it does not collapse into tragedy.

The man is hurt.

He knows it.

But he can still see the absurdity in his own situation and laugh at himself a little.

That combination eventually gave the project its name:

RAI NID NOI

The phrase can sound like someone being “a little bad” or mischievous.

But it can also describe the way this project looks at life.

Sometimes the news is bad.

Sometimes love treats you badly.

Sometimes things simply do not go the way you hoped.

But maybe it is still only:

a little bad.

You are still here.

There is still another song.

And there may still be a joke left in the story.

The World of RAI NID NOI

The world of RAI NID NOI stays close to the life of ordinary Thai and Isan men.

It does not need to remain permanently rural.

And it does not need to live permanently in the city.

A character may:

stay home
leave home
move away for work
return for a visit
spend time with friends
drive somewhere alone
run into an ex
miss someone who is gone
notice how a hometown has changed
or simply live through an ordinary day

The setting may include:

villages
small towns
the Mun River
roads leading home
markets
local restaurants
community events
festivals and traditions
Bangkok or another city where someone has moved for work
a small room far from home
ordinary places carrying personal memories

The important thing is that:

the world should feel lived in.

Rural life does not need to be romanticized.

The city does not need to be treated as the enemy.

And Isan identity should not exist merely as decorative scenery.

Home can be beautiful and still change.

The city can provide opportunity and still be exhausting.

Someone can miss home while still choosing to build a life somewhere else.

Isan identity is an important part of RAI NID NOI.

But every song does not need to prove that identity by including everything at once.

It may live in:

the relationship with home

images of rivers, fields, roads and communities

Luk Thung and Mor Lam rhythmic character

One song may use a lot of Isan language.

Another may use only a little.

Some may be almost entirely in Central Thai.

The important thing is not to insert Isan words simply to announce:

“This is an Isan song.”

The language should feel like something the character would naturally say.

The musical core of RAI NID NOI is:

Modern Thai Luk Thung with Isan Character

The production can be contemporary.

But the project should still feel Luk Thung first.

It should not become a Rock or generic Pop project that simply adds phin as decoration and calls itself Luk Thung.

Upbeat songs may use:

Luk Thung-friendly electric guitar
melodic bass
live-style drums
percussion
accordion when appropriate
traditional melodic phrases presented in a contemporary arrangement

Slower songs may reduce the arrangement and allow the vocal to carry more of the story.

Every track does not need a large production.

Some stories need a full band.

Others may need little more than guitar, phin, bass and restrained drums.

The sound can move.

But it should retain the identity of:

The performance should serve the story.

A funny line does not need exaggerated comic delivery.

Sometimes saying it completely straight makes it funnier.

A painful line does not need to become a giant vocal moment.

Sometimes an ordinary sentence hurts more.

Luk Thung ornamentation and melodic turns can be clearly present, but they should follow the emotion of the song.

The goal is:

a man telling us what happened to him, rather than a singer trying to prove how well he can sing.

Humor is one of the important parts of the project.

But every song does not need to become a comedy song.

a line that turns unexpectedly
looking at a situation from another angle
a punchline that arrives only after the listener understands the story

Project Rule

Every RAI NID NOI song must stand on its own.

There is no Story Universe to follow.

No timeline to memorize.

No permanent character who must appear in every song.

What connects the project is:

a male voice + contemporary Luk Thung + Isan character + direct, lived-in storytelling

One song may be highly energetic.

Another may be very slow.

One may be about love.

Another may contain no romance at all.

One may use a lot of Isan language.

Another may mainly use Central Thai.

But when several tracks are heard together, the listener should feel that:

the people singing these songs look at life in a related way.

Not every song needs phin and khaen at the same time.
Contemporary production does not require turning the project into Rock or generic Pop.
A hometown song does not need to romanticize rural life.
Leaving home does not mean rejecting home.
Missing someone does not always mean wanting them back.
A sad song does not need crying-style delivery.
A playful song does not need nonstop jokes.
Traditional roots do not prevent the music from sounding contemporary.
Modern production should not erase the Luk Thung core.

What matters most is that several songs together feel like:

ร้ายนิดหน่อย คือโปรเจกต์ศิลปินชายลูกทุ่งร่วมสมัยภายใต้ BorMeeJai Studio ที่เล่าเรื่องความรัก ชีวิต บ้านเกิด ความเปลี่ยนแปลง และความเป็นอีสานด้วยภาษาตรง ๆ และอารมณ์ขันแบบคนที่ยังพอหัวเราะกับชีวิตตัวเองได้

ชื่อโปรเจกต์มาจากเพลงเปิดตัว “ข่าวดี...ร้ายหน่อยหนึ่ง” ตามกฎของ BorMeeJai Studio ที่ให้เพลงเกิดก่อน แล้วนำคำและตัวตนจากเพลงแรกมาเป็นชื่อของศิลปิน

แต่ละเพลงยืนเดี่ยวได้ ไม่มี Story Universe และสามารถเคลื่อนไปได้ทั้งเพลงเร็ว เพลงช้า ความรัก เรื่องบ้าน หรือชีวิตประจำวัน

แกนสำคัญคือ

Modern Thai Luk Thung ที่ยังมีเสียงของบ้านอยู่ในเพลง

และท่าทีแบบ

เจ็บจริงได้ แต่ไม่จำเป็นต้องหมดมุกกับชีวิต

Short Description - EN

RAI NID NOI is a contemporary male Luk Thung project under BorMeeJai Studio, telling stories about love, everyday life, hometown, change and Isan identity through direct language and a man who can still laugh at life even when things do not go his way.

The project takes its name from the debut song “ข่าวดี...ร้ายหน่อยหนึ่ง”, following BorMeeJai Studio's rule that the music comes first and the artist name grows from the song that introduces the project.

Every song stands on its own. There is no continuous Story Universe, allowing the project to move freely between upbeat songs, slow ballads, romance, hometown stories and ordinary life.

At its core is:

Modern Thai Luk Thung that still carries the sound of home

and an attitude that says:

the hurt can be real without taking away your ability to laugh at life.
