แนวคิดของ “ไม่รู้”
ไม่รู้ คือโปรเจกต์ศิลปินภายใต้ BorMeeJai Studio ที่เกิดขึ้นจากคำถามง่าย ๆ ว่า
“แล้วเพลงพวกนี้ควรอยู่ตรงไหน?”
ในช่วงที่กำลังสร้าง BORMEEJAI มีเพลงและแนวคิดจำนวนหนึ่งเกิดขึ้นตามมา
บางเพลงเหมาะที่จะอยู่ใน Story Universe หลัก
บางเพลงมีอารมณ์หรือมุมมองที่น่าสนใจ แต่ถ้านำเข้าไปเป็นอีก Chapter ของ BORMEEJAI ก็อาจทำให้เรื่องหลักยืดยาวเกินกว่าที่มันควรจะเป็น
บางเพลงจึงเริ่มต้นเหมือนเป็น Side Project ของ BORMEEJAI
ไม่ใช่เพราะเพลงเหล่านั้นสำคัญน้อยกว่า
แต่เพราะบางเรื่องไม่จำเป็นต้องเกิดกับตัวละครเดิม
บางมุมมองเหมาะกับเสียงอีกแบบหนึ่ง
บางความรู้สึกโตเกินช่วงเวลาของเรื่องหลัก
และบางเพลงสามารถยืนด้วยตัวเองได้โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องมี Canon มารองรับ
แทนที่จะพยายามใส่ทุกไอเดียกลับเข้าไปในจักรวาลเดียวกัน เราจึงเริ่มแยกเพลงเหล่านั้นออกมา
แล้วก็เกิดคำถามใหม่
จะวางมันไว้ตรงไหนดี?
จะเป็นโปรเจกต์แบบไหน?
จะเรียกมันว่าอะไร?
คำตอบตอนนั้นก็คือ
ไม่รู้
และสุดท้าย คำที่เกิดจากการยังไม่มีคำตอบ กลับกลายเป็นชื่อที่เหมาะกับโปรเจกต์นี้ที่สุด
About “MAI ROO”
MAI ROO is an artist project under BorMeeJai Studio that began with a simple creative problem:
Where should these songs belong?
While BORMEEJAI was being developed, other songs and ideas naturally appeared around it.
Some clearly belonged inside the main Story Universe.
Others had something worth keeping, but turning every one of them into another BORMEEJAI chapter would have made the main story longer than it needed to be.
Some songs therefore began almost like side projects of BORMEEJAI.
Not because they mattered less.
Some simply needed another point of view.
Some belonged to a different emotional age.
Some needed another voice.
Some did not need canon at all.
Instead of forcing every idea back into the same universe, those songs were gradually allowed to become something separate.
That created another question:
Where do they go?
What kind of project should they become?
What should we call it?
At the time, the most accurate answer was simply:
I don't know.
That uncertainty eventually became the identity of the project itself.

ชื่อ “ไม่รู้” ไม่ได้เกิดจากกฎการตั้งชื่อศิลปินของ BorMeeJai Studio
ตรงกันข้าม
กฎนั้นเกิดขึ้นหลังจาก “ไม่รู้” ถือกำเนิดแล้ว
ในตอนที่เพลงกลุ่มนี้เริ่มแยกตัวออกมา เรายังไม่มีกฎว่าศิลปินหรือวงใหม่จะต้องใช้ชื่อจากเพลงเปิดตัว
มีเพียงเพลงหนึ่งที่กำลังเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของโปรเจกต์
“ไม่รู้ (I Don't Know)”
เมื่อเพลงนี้กลายเป็นเพลงแรกที่ช่วยกำหนดตัวตนของกลุ่มเพลงเหล่านี้ ชื่อ “ไม่รู้” ก็ค่อย ๆ กลายเป็นชื่อของศิลปินไปโดยธรรมชาติ
หลังจากนั้น BorMeeJai Studio จึงมองย้อนกลับมาและพบว่าวิธีนี้น่าสนใจกว่าการคิดชื่อวงที่สวยหรือดูเหมาะกับการตลาดไว้ก่อน แล้วค่อยพยายามสร้างเพลงให้เข้ากับชื่อนั้น

How the Name “MAI ROO” Came to Be
The name MAI ROO did not come from an existing BorMeeJai Studio naming rule.
It was the other way around.
The rule was created after MAI ROO already existed.
When these songs first began separating into their own project, there was no studio rule saying that a new artist or band had to take its name from its debut song.
There was simply one song beginning to define the project:
“I Don't Know (ไม่รู้)”
As that song became the starting point for the group of songs around it, its title naturally became the artist name as well.
Only afterward did BorMeeJai Studio look back at what had happened and realize that this was more interesting than inventing a polished artist name first and then trying to make the music fit it.
That eventually became a studio rule:
Artists and bands created after MAI ROO take their name from a word or title connected to the first song that introduces them.
We do not write a song simply to claim a good-looking artist or band name.
The songs come first.
The first song then gives the project its name.
So MAI ROO is not a project that followed the naming rule.
MAI ROO is the project that created it.

แม้บางเพลงจะเริ่มต้นจากไอเดียที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างการสร้าง BORMEEJAI แต่ ไม่รู้ ไม่ใช่ Side Story, Alternate POV หรือ Timeline อีกเส้นหนึ่งของ BORMEEJAI
เมื่อเพลงถูกแยกออกมาอยู่ในโปรเจกต์นี้แล้ว มันสามารถมีโลกและความหมายของตัวเองได้
ผู้ชายในเพลงหนึ่งไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นผู้ชายจาก BORMEEJAI

MAI ROO Is Not Another BORMEEJAI Timeline
Although some songs began during the creative development of BORMEEJAI, MAI ROO is not a BORMEEJAI side story, alternate POV, or another canonical timeline.
Once a song becomes part of MAI ROO, it is free to exist in its own emotional world.
A male voice does not automatically represent a BORMEEJAI character.
A female voice does not automatically represent its heroine.
And characters across different MAI ROO songs do not need to be the same people.
Some songs may emotionally echo one another.
Some may feel like answers to other songs.
Some may begin from similar questions.
But they do not need to describe the same events.
Separating the project this way allows BORMEEJAI to keep its main story from stretching beyond what it needs to tell.
At the same time, songs that do not need to become another chapter are still given room to exist and grow on their own.

ต่างจาก BORMEEJAI ที่มี Story Universe และการเติบโตของตัวละครตามเวลา “ไม่รู้” ไม่จำเป็นต้องมี Timeline เดียว
สิ่งที่เชื่อมเพลงเข้าด้วยกันคือ
คำถาม ความทรงจำ ความสัมพันธ์ และสิ่งที่มนุษย์รู้สึกในช่วงที่ยังไม่มีคำตอบทั้งหมด
บางครั้งเราไม่รู้ว่าความสัมพันธ์ควรไปต่อหรือไม่
บางครั้งรู้ว่าความสัมพันธ์จบแล้ว แต่ยังไม่รู้ว่าจะวางความรู้สึกไว้ตรงไหน
บางครั้งยังห่วงกัน
แต่ไม่รู้ว่าการกลับไปจะช่วยอะไร
บางครั้งมีคำขอโทษที่อยากพูด
โดยไม่ได้ต้องการให้ทุกอย่างกลับมาเหมือนเดิม
บางครั้งคนหนึ่งไม่ได้อยู่ในชีวิตเราแล้ว

มันยอมรับว่าในชีวิตจริง
บางเรื่องเราอาจไม่มีวันรู้ครบทั้งหมด
แต่ชีวิตก็ยังเดินต่อได้
The World of MAI ROO
Unlike BORMEEJAI, which follows a connected Story Universe and characters changing over time, MAI ROO does not require one continuous timeline.
What connects its songs is:
questions, memory, relationships and the feelings people carry when they do not have every answer.
Sometimes you do not know whether a relationship should continue.
Sometimes you know it has ended, but you still do not know where to place what you feel.
Sometimes two people still care about each other, but that does not automatically mean going back would solve anything.
Sometimes there is an apology worth giving without expecting the past to return.
Sometimes someone is no longer part of your life but still has a place in your heart.
And sometimes there is no complete answer at all.
MAI ROO does not try to solve every question.
It accepts something ordinary about real life:
some things may never become completely clear.
Life can still move forward.

“ไม่รู้” ไม่ได้ถูกผูกไว้กับนักร้องคนเดียว เพศเดียว หรือผู้เล่าเรื่องคนเดียว

Different Voices, Different Perspectives
MAI ROO is not tied to one singer, one gender, or one permanent narrator.
Some songs use a male voice.
Some use a female voice.
Some ideas may exist in Thai, English, or both.
Different voices do not mean that every song belongs to one continuous plot.
Instead, they allow similar emotions and questions to be seen from different sides.
One person may still keep someone quietly in their heart.
Another may understand that a relationship has reached its end and choose to keep moving.
Someone else may ask why two people who still care about each other should return to something that no longer has a future.
Another may look back and realize that the most important thing left to say is simply an apology.
There does not need to be one permanent protagonist.
The real center of MAI ROO is:
ordinary people trying to live with questions they cannot completely answer.
Sound Identity
“ไม่รู้” ไม่จำเป็นต้องมี genre เดียว
เพราะโปรเจกต์ไม่ได้เริ่มจากการกำหนด Sound Formula แล้วหาเพลงมาใส่

Sound Identity - English
MAI ROO does not need one fixed genre.
The project was not created by defining one sound formula and then searching for songs to fit inside it.
The songs came first.
Their sound follows their emotional needs.
The music may move between:
- Contemporary Thai Pop
- Pop Ballad
- Acoustic Pop
- 90s-influenced Pop/Rock
- Soft Rock
- Modern Pop
- Cinematic Pop
- Pop with Rap elements
- Thai/English crossover
Some songs may remain intimate with acoustic guitar and piano.
Others may expand into electric guitars, drums and a broader 90s-inspired sound.
Spoken phrasing or Rap may appear when it helps the song communicate something differently.
One track may sound noticeably more contemporary than another.
What keeps them inside the same project is not a fixed collection of instruments.
It is the feeling that the song is trying to speak directly to the listener.
Production may grow with the emotion.
It should not overpower the meaning of the song.

Lyrical Tone
MAI ROO can be sad.
But sadness does not require emotional collapse.
Someone can still love another person without asking them to return.
They can miss someone while accepting that the relationship has already ended.
They can apologize without using that apology as an excuse to reopen the past.
They can let go without pretending that nothing mattered.
They can still not know without putting their life on hold until an answer arrives.
The people inside these songs do not need to win.
They do not need to be strong at every moment.
And they do not need perfect closure every time.
The overall emotional voice is:
you can still feel without holding on
you can still remember without going back
you can still hurt without living inside the hurt forever
you can still not know and keep moving forward
ภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ
ต่างจาก BORMEEJAI ที่ Isan + English เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ DNA ภายในเพลง “ไม่รู้” ใช้ภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษอย่างยืดหยุ่นกว่า
เพลงหนึ่งอาจเป็นภาษาไทยทั้งหมด
อีกเพลงอาจเป็นภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด
และบางแนวคิดอาจมีทั้ง Thai version และ English counterpart
English counterpart ไม่จำเป็นต้องแปลเนื้อไทยตรงทุกบรรทัด

Thai and English
Unlike BORMEEJAI, where Isan and English are part of the internal language identity of the songs, MAI ROO uses Thai and English more freely.
One song may be entirely in Thai.
Another may be entirely in English.
Some ideas may exist as both a Thai song and an English counterpart.
An English counterpart does not need to translate every Thai line literally.
It may preserve the emotional core, central idea or important imagery while being rewritten naturally for English phrasing and the musical shape of that version.
English therefore does not exist to make every MAI ROO song bilingual.
It is another voice that allows a related idea to live in a different musical and linguistic space.

แต่ละเพลงของ “ไม่รู้” ต้องสามารถยืนเดี่ยวได้
คนฟังไม่จำเป็นต้องรู้ว่าเพลงไหนเกิดก่อน
ไม่จำเป็นต้องรู้ว่าเพลงไหนเคยเริ่มจาก Side Project ของ BORMEEJAI
ไม่จำเป็นต้องรู้ว่าบางเพลงมีแนวคิดที่เชื่อมกัน
และไม่จำเป็นต้องตีความทุกเพลงให้เป็นเรื่องเดียวกัน
หากฟังหลายเพลงต่อกันแล้วรู้สึกว่าบางเพลงกำลังพูดกับอีกเพลงหนึ่ง นั่นสามารถเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของประสบการณ์ได้

Project Rule
Every MAI ROO song should be able to stand on its own.
Listeners do not need to know which song was created first.
They do not need to know which ideas once began as side projects around BORMEEJAI.
They do not need to know that some songs may share related emotional ideas.
And they do not need to force every track into one storyline.
If several songs feel as though they are speaking to one another, that can become part of the listening experience.
But it is not mandatory canon.
The principle is:
each song has its own story
and when several songs are placed together,
the same question may be seen from different sides.

What MAI ROO Is Not Required to Be
- Not every song has to belong to one storyline.
- Not every song needs the same narrator.
- Not every song needs the same gender of vocalist.

- Missing someone does not automatically mean wanting them back.

- Different songs may emotionally answer one another without describing the same characters or events.

What matters most is that the listener can feel:
some questions do not have perfect answers

บางเพลงเริ่มต้นเป็น Side Project ระหว่างการสร้าง BORMEEJAI ก่อนถูกแยกออกมา เพื่อไม่ให้เรื่องหลักยืดยาวเกินความจำเป็น และเพื่อให้เพลงแต่ละเพลงมีพื้นที่เป็นของตัวเอง
ชื่อ “ไม่รู้” มาจากเพลงแรกของโปรเจกต์ และโปรเจกต์นี้เองเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของกฎในเวลาต่อมาว่า ศิลปินหรือวงใหม่ของ BorMeeJai Studio จะใช้คำหรือชื่อจากเพลงแรกที่เปิดตัวมาเป็นชื่อของตัวเอง

MAI ROO is a music project under BorMeeJai Studio that grew from songs and ideas that did not need to be forced into another Story Universe.
Some began as side projects during the development of BORMEEJAI and were separated so the main story would not stretch beyond what it needed to tell, while giving each song room to exist on its own.
The name MAI ROO came from the project's first song, and the project itself later inspired BorMeeJai Studio's naming rule: new artists and bands take their names from a word or title connected to the first song that introduces them.
MAI ROO moves through different voices, perspectives, Thai and English, connected by themes of relationships, memory, acceptance, moving forward and the questions that life does not always answer clearly.
Because sometimes:
you do not need to know everything to keep moving forward.
