แนวคิดของ “BORMEEJAI”
BORMEEJAI คือโปรเจกต์ศิลปินและ Story Universe ภายใต้ BorMeeJai Studio ที่ใช้เพลงแต่ละเพลงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโลกและชีวิตของตัวละคร
ชื่อ BORMEEJAI มาจากเพลงเปิดตัว “คนบ่มีใจ (If You Don’t Care)”
ตามกฎการตั้งชื่อศิลปินของ BorMeeJai Studio เราไม่ได้สร้างชื่อวงหรือชื่อศิลปินขึ้นมาก่อน แล้วค่อยแต่งเพลงเพื่อให้เข้ากับชื่อนั้น
เพลงเกิดขึ้นก่อน
และเพลงแรกที่กลายเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของโปรเจกต์ ก็เป็นเพลงที่ให้กำเนิดชื่อของศิลปินไปพร้อมกัน
คำว่า “บ่มีใจ” ในเพลงแรกเริ่มจากคำถามง่าย ๆ ในความสัมพันธ์

จากคำถามเล็ก ๆ นี้ โลกของ BORMEEJAI ค่อย ๆ ขยายออกไปเป็นเรื่องของความสัมพันธ์ มิตรภาพ ความเข้าใจผิด การเปลี่ยนแปลง และการเติบโตของตัวละครตามเวลา
BORMEEJAI จึงไม่ได้หมายความว่าเพลงทั้งหมดต้องพูดถึงคนที่ไม่มีใจ หรือความรักที่ไม่สมหวัง
มันคือชื่อของ โลกที่เริ่มต้นจากเพลงหนึ่ง แล้วค่อย ๆ เติบโตไปพร้อมกับคนในเรื่อง
About “BORMEEJAI”
BORMEEJAI is an artist project and connected Story Universe under BorMeeJai Studio.
The name comes from the debut song:
“If You Don’t Care (คนบ่มีใจ)”
Under BorMeeJai Studio’s naming rule, the artist name was not created first and followed by songs designed to fit the brand.
The song came first.
And the first song that became the beginning of the project eventually gave the project its name.
The phrase “Bor Mee Jai” carries the idea of not having romantic feelings or not giving one’s heart.
In the first song, that idea begins as a simple question.
Someone keeps coming close.
They message.
They care.
They send mixed signals.
But they never really say what they mean.
So the question becomes:
Do you care, or don’t you?
From that small question, BORMEEJAI gradually grows into a larger world of relationships, friendship, misunderstandings, change and characters growing over time.
BORMEEJAI therefore does not mean that every song has to be about someone who has no heart.
It is the name of a world that began with one song and continues to grow with the people inside it.

เรื่องราวเดินผ่านช่วงเวลาต่าง ๆ ของชีวิต ความสัมพันธ์ และมิตรภาพ โดยตัวละครไม่ได้หยุดอยู่ในความคิดหรือความรู้สึกแบบเดิมตลอดไป
สิ่งที่พวกเขาเชื่อในช่วงหนึ่ง

The World of BORMEEJAI
The world of BORMEEJAI follows characters as they grow.
The story moves through different stages of life, relationships and friendship.
The characters are not meant to remain emotionally unchanged forever.
Something they believe at one point in their lives may look completely different to them later.
Relationships may change.
People may grow apart.
Some may meet again.
New people may become important.
Important moments do not always need to come from dramatic events.
Sometimes the story can live in ordinary things:
- a message that suddenly stops
- a Like or Story view that feels important
- seeing someone every day at school
- a normal conversation that stays in your head afterward
- a friend who has always been nearby
- spending a long time apart
- meeting again after time has passed
- finding a new group of friends
- everyday life slowly changing with age
On their own, these details may seem small.
Across several songs, they gradually become part of the characters’ shared history.

Character Growth
BORMEEJAI is a Story Universe in which the characters grow over time.
Growth does not mean that they suddenly become wise or emotionally perfect.
They can still:
overthink
misread situations
be too confident
feel jealous
tease people
be sarcastic
hesitate
or make mistakes
But as time passes, the way they understand relationships and themselves should also change.
Later songs should not simply place the exact same person into a new situation.
The characters carry experience with them.
The past may still matter.
But it does not have to control every future decision.
Following the songs in order should allow listeners to feel that:
the same person can change without becoming a completely different person.

“Isan” does not mean that every song must sound like traditional Mor Lam or constantly use phin and khaen.
Isan identity can live in:
- language
- vocal attitude
- phrasing
- humor
- character voice
- phin
- khaen
- melodic gestures
- grooves or rhythmic ideas influenced by Isan music
Some songs may feature the phin prominently.
Others may use only a small regional detail.
Some may contain almost no obvious traditional instrumentation at all while still feeling like BORMEEJAI through language, character and storytelling.
The project can move through styles such as:

One of the defining elements of BORMEEJAI is:
Isan + English
The two languages are not meant to translate each other line by line.
Each language can have its own storytelling role.
Isan
Isan can carry:
- identity
- rhythm
- humor
- intimacy
- character voice
- hooks
- memorable titles
- details that make the world feel lived-in
English
English can carry:
- the main premise
- another side of the situation
- dialogue
- catchphrases
- information not yet stated in Isan
- enough context for listeners who do not understand Thai to follow the emotional situation
An English section therefore does not need to repeat what the Isan section just said.
Sometimes it should provide
another piece of the story
rather than simply functioning as a translation.
ความกวนของ BORMEEJAI
ความกวนเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของตัวตน BORMEEJAI

Humor in BORMEEJAI
Humor is part of BORMEEJAI’s identity.
But it does not need to sound the same in every song.
Sometimes humor may come from confidence.
Sometimes from embarrassment.
Sometimes from sarcasm.
Sometimes from friends teasing each other.
And sometimes a song may contain almost none at all.
The level and style of humor should change with the situation, age and emotional state of the characters.
BORMEEJAI therefore does not have a rule that says:
every song must be playful.
When humor appears, it should come naturally from the characters and the situation.
Not simply because the project needs to maintain a certain image.

BORMEEJAI can be playful, sarcastic, danceable, emotional, quiet or reflective.
The project does not need one emotional setting.
Sad songs do not need emotional collapse.
Confident songs do not need to humiliate someone else.
Moving on does not require pretending that the past meant nothing.
Love does not need to mean that someone cannot live without another person.
The characters may feel hurt.
They may cry.
They may be angry.
They may miss someone.
They may be confused.
They may misunderstand things.
None of those emotions need to become their entire identity.
The overall voice should feel:
playful without cruelty
sad without drowning
confident without putting others down
capable of love without abandoning the self

Project Rule
BORMEEJAI is a Story Universe, but every song must still stand on its own.
A listener may discover one chapter before another.
They should not need to read a synopsis or know the entire timeline before understanding the main emotion of a song.
The principle is:
One song - understand the song
Several songs - understand more of the world and the characters
When songs are heard in sequence, certain details may connect more clearly.
A line may gain more weight.
A character’s behavior may look different once the listener knows more about them.
But a later song should not erase the emotional truth of an earlier one.
The Story Universe exists to:
add meaning
not remove what was already there.

- Not every song has to be a dance track.
- Not every song has to be romantic.
- Not every song has to be sarcastic or playful.
- Isan and English do not need to appear in equal amounts.
- English does not need to translate Isan line by line.
- The characters do not need to be correct all the time.
- Character growth does not mean emotional perfection.
- Following the full storyline should add meaning, but should never be required to enjoy an individual song.
What matters most is that, when several songs are heard together, the listener feels:
These people have a history.
Time has passed.
Things have changed.
And the characters are growing with the world around them.
